1. PC (USB, Bluetooth, Infrared) - Using the Microsoft Active Sync client included on the CD or available for download at www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile, you can syncronize e-mail, contacts, calendar, tasks, etc. There are three potential connection methods and you'll have to select the one that works best for you. A USB cable will likely provide the fastest sync performance, but wireless sync is also possible via bluetooth and infrared on the 6700.
2. Over-the-Air - if you are not connecting to a Microsoft Exchange Server to sync your data, you can utilize the Verizon ActiveSync software. This should be listed under the programs folder in your start menu. This function will allow you to sync without being connected to your PC. If you have a lot of contacts, it is advisable to do your first sync with a USB cable due to the speed of sync or, if you do not have a data plan. The phone is also wi fi capable, but I do not believe the Wireless Sync is only for use over the Verizon CDMA network.
